Biggest Online Poker Pot Record $499,037
For quite a while now the record for the largest online pot of all time has stood as held by Fast Freddie Deeb at $465,451.
Last week, though, that same record got busted three times in a row in the same day, all involving recent TV and poker phenom Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan.
The first pot of the three went to Dwan over Peter Jepsen, where Dwan flopped a set of aces against a flush draw and saw his hand hold up, raking in a pot of $474,949.
Later at the same table, Dwan dumped all of that and a little more back to online rock Phil Galfond, who flopped a straight with 6/9 off, against a hand by Dwan that ended up getting mucked. This pot stood at the new record with $499,037.
A third, if slightly lesser pot, showed Dwan gettin all of his chips back from Galfond when he rivered a flush with his Q/3 suited for a pot worth $474,949.
If you’re not familiar, this Dwan is the same guy who made Hellmuth about lose his junk on national TV during the NBC Heads Up Poker Championship:
