Chris Ferguson follower: The Creation Killer
A friend and local player, now known as Creation Killer on Full Tilt, is currently attempting to follow in Chris Fergusons’s footsteps (see earlier post on his turning $0 to $10,000) by employing a similar strategy, though he’s giving himself some space to breathe by starting with a little extra money, which I told him wasn’t quite as cool.

I like the idea of playing sit-n-go’s online as a way to earn poker money. Online poker for me in the past several years has been a pretty rough and tumble enterprise. Too often it seems like those weird beats come in and crush you and put you right back to zero no matter how methodically you build your stack.
I know I for one went from $100 to $2500 in a span of about 10 days one time playing 1/2 NL, and then proceeded to take three of the sickest beats I’ve ever seen back to back in about 2 hours, returning my stack down to $1500 or so. I then proceeded in some self-destructive fit of pure idiocy, to firestorm the rest of that money on the now much richer tables of Ultimate Bet. I actually ended up throwing myself into my closet door during that epic money burning, and broke the hinges, and then proceeded to beat my fists numb and acquire a pretty ugly set of carpet burn.
Playing sit-n-go’s and MTTs only is a great way to minimize that bad beat occurrence followed by the easily accessible tilt that comes with it. For some reason it’s so much easier to steam and donk off money when you’re playing online. If someone could develop a computer interface that allows you to look at real cards and get the feel of playing a cash game on your computer, I might reinvest. Otherwise, I’m sticking with these smaller things.
Good look CK.

Great advice about using sit ‘n go’s to build your online bankroll. The variance is much lower on sit ‘n go’s than cash games, so you have a level of protection. But you still need bankroll rules in place so you don’t tilt off your hard earned profits, regardless of the type of game you play.
Good luck at the tables!
