Feeling Good

This week in the b5 sports channel, we’re talking a bit about ‘feeling good,’ which is a thing that poker honestly hasn’t been making me do lately, as I seem to be continuing the cold card slump that made me take a 4 month break. I really can’t remember the last time I made a pair in a live game, no matter how many flops I’ve seen or haven’t seen.

One thing that feels good no matter what, though, is making the nuts. It’s nice to flop the nuts, but it’s also good to turn them, and it’s particularly awesome when those nuts are untouchable no matter what comes, as Brad Booth does here:

Bonus feeling good points for actually getting paid on the hand (though props to Daniel for folding on the end there). It almost hurts just as much to flop a big hand and not be able to get anyone to bite no matter how you play it.

Props also to Brad Booth for mucking the hand w/o showing, and for just making a smartass remark when Jen Harmon makes a comment saying she had one of the cards he clearly had.

Watching poker still makes me feel good. I just need to translate that back into the card energy.
