FTOPS VIII Mystery Tournaments Revealed
If you’re still thinking about entering Full Tilt’s FTOPS VIII events, which begin tomorrow, you now have three new options, which up until this event have never been offered as a major tourney style via Full Tilt. With the announcement of this new series, the mentioned 3 mystery tournaments, which, while definitely not too outside the box, are at least a slight idea change.
- Event No. 3 — $500+$35, no-limit hold’em triple shootout (729 players max), $300,000 guaranteed
- Event No. 8 — $500+$35, heads-up no-limit hold’em matches (2,028 players max), $250,000 guaranteed
- Event No. 17 — $200+$16, sixhanded no-limit hold’em quadruple shootout (1,296 players max), $200,000 guaranteed
I don’t know that I’d ever be willing to invest that much in an online series, but it’s worth looking into, no? Plus they are still running satellites for the thing all through today and into tomorrow I imagine.

I don’t really play at Full Tilt but I do play at PokerStars.
PS has shootouts and heads-up tourneys every day. What is so big about these? That there is a guarantee?
BTW, if you are going to play one of them, play event 17. It is VERY easy to get to the money in shootouts especially when playing against weak opponents.
