I’m All In
Poker marketing is scary.
Those Full Tilt Poker ads are just a hoot.
Poker is poetry, you know?
If I have to see the one where Jennifer Harmon say, “Show me something, buddy. Just a little something?” I am going to light a small puppy on fire.
Oh, poker, you silly thing.
I want to make my own poker ads. I could do a lot better. There’s a lot of interesting stuff that comes up when you google the phrase ‘I’m all in,’ but here’s some of my favorites (of those appropriate for blogging here):

Sweet.
I want to start my own poker clothing line based on these images.
I would sell a billion.

I am with but against.
I hate most of the poker ads. But if you look at the production values, Full Tilt is the only one making professional, network quality ads.
The Absolute Poker ads look like Helmuth’s niece got a DV camcorder for christmas and is taping him rant. And then submitting that to tv.
I do find almost all of the Full Tilt ads to be tired and cliched, however, I do really like the Matusow/Cunningham commercial.
Mike is brow beating him hoping he will fold the nuts and Cunningham is just sitting there with his stupid, goofy dork grin.
And the subtitles are a nice touch.
