Nerd Wins EPT
If you didn’t get a chance to watch the final table of EPT live on their website, you supposedly missed out on a pretty wild table.
After all was said and done, though, it was Glen Chorny (a 22 yr old business student from Canada) who took the whole thing down. $3.2 million. Biggest tournament in European history.
The other payouts weren’t so shabby either.
- Glen Chorny ─ $3,193,822
- Denes Kalo ─ $1,864,116
- Maxime Villemure ─ $1,130,487
- Isaac Baron ─ $931,268
- Michael Martin ─ $665,643
- Luca Pagano ─ $532,831
- Valeriy Ilikyan ─ $400,018
- Antonio Esfandiari ─ $265,625
I gotta get in on some of these big ‘ns sometimes.

I watched from the final 16 to the end. There was some really great play and some very lame play by some (mostly the europeans).
Antonio was doing well until he pushed all in with A 6 os against A Q os.
After that I had a feeling this Chorny kid was going to win. He took some bad beats but was able to recover and not go on monkey tilt rage.
What I thought was interesting was the play by play commentary but without knowledge of the hole cards.
its always easy for a guy sitting on the sidelines criticising play when they know the hole cards.
