No Such Thing As Blank
Is there ever a card that comes down in an online game that’s actually a blank? It seems like when they’re not busy dealing out the bad beats, they’re at least scaring the crap out of you by putting the scare cards down (and probably having made a hand for the non-donkeys that didn’t get in and would have ended up making the nuts).
I’m playing in a 180 person tournament right now on Full Tilt and I swear twice in the last hour I’ve flopped a set only to see the turn and river both make four-flushes and four-straights so that I can’t even charge the chump calling me with top pair the full price.
But really, with this many erratic players around these days, is there ever a blank card? You never know when somebody is calling down your pot sized bets with pocket deuces, only to have that seemingly benign third 2 come down on the turn and chop your head off.
Like Antonio Esfandiari says, it’s time to play LDP = “Lock Down Poker.”
I can’t believe I just quoted a poker player.
