Poker Pros on WSOP Final Table Move
“It doesn’t bother me to have the final table later, but I do think it will be an advantage to the amateur players, because they will have time to get coaching and a scouting report against the better players. Also, the endurance advantage that comes into play will be taken away. The upside for the pros is the huge publicity leading up to the final table. Bottom line: if I make the final table, I could care less what they do.”

“I think it’s a phenomenal idea. People think poker is about luck and being hot or cold, but it’s not. A good poker player should be able to play at anytime of the year. Good poker players don’t rely on hot cards or their opponents being on tilt. This is a great thing for pros and poker.”
- Victor Ramdin, Team PokerStars Pro
“I have never heard of a tournament being interrupted for that long before. I do not think it’s good for the sport to make a final table 3 months later. As a player you are in a special mood during a tourney and any break or interruption is bad for the game. It would feel like a new tourney.”

No other sport has the finals seperated from the playoffs with such a large gap.
It is absurd greed parading around as an enhancement to the game.
“Oh now people can get excited over who wins!”
yeah that’s what it is all about buddy. sure.

Yeah, and the fact that they are trying to alleviate repercussions by paying pros to say nice things is even worse.
