PokerStars 2009 Caribbean Adventure Dates Announced
The sixth annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) will kick off on January 4, 2008 at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas. The 2009 PCA’s (an official PokerStars European Poker Tour event) playing field will include the majority of the 29 Team PokerStars Pros, including 2008 PCA Champion ElkY and WSOP Main Event Champions Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer and Chris Moneymaker along with poker legend Daniel Negreanu. At the 2008 PCA, ElkY took home the first prize of $2 million

“The PCA is always a special tournament for poker players, especially because the location is so great, there are so many online qualifiers and the atmosphere is very special. Players are usually much younger, too, and I know many more of them as we always play with each other on PokerStars,” said ElkY following last year’s win.

Last year’s event attracted more than 1,000 players making it one of the largest ever playing fields outside of the U.S. and generating a massive prize pool of over $8.5 million.
