Royal Hold Em
There’s a new game that just got approved by the Nevada gaming commission, a variation of hold em using only Tens and higher. The rest of the deck is stripped and you play against the house, with up to 6 total players. Obviously, huge hands abound.
I haven’t seen this yet, and am skeptical about the odds of playing this kind of poker against the house. Obviously it’s just a version of hold em modified so the house can sneak into your pockets and eliminate their per-hand rake, instead getting you with a glorified blackjack.
Who knows, might be fun though?
I need to take a trip to Vegas soon.
Played a little online last week, couldn’t get into it. I need live play to really enjoy, otherwise it just feels like work.

So there are only 20 cards in the deck? Seems like it’s more about ignorant idiots ooing and aweing over paint cards and overbetting hands.

haha yes exactly. i wonder if you didn’t get amped over the obvious huge hands that you could devise a winning method.
but yeah, i think it got sold mainly via the overbetting.
