WSOP Freerolls at PokerStars
An announcement from PokerStars.com:
From now until June 22, players can go to www.PokerStars.net to enter the daily freeroll qualifiers. The first round of each tournament starts at the top of each hour, 24/7. Unlike any other site, every new and existing PokerStars player will be able to play in one, Round-1 freeroll per week for the duration of the qualifiers, which translates into eight chances to win a $10,000 seat to the WSOP.
“There’s nothing better than going to the World Series and playing for the biggest prize pool on earth, except getting there for free,” said Team PokerStars Pro Joe Hachem, the 2005 WSOP champion.
For the “Skilfull-80” winners, the full prize package includes:
- $10,000 Main Event buy-in
- $2,500 for expenses
- Four star hotel accommodations at the Palms
PokerStars qualifiers who make it to the final table at the WSOP Main Event will win an automatic cash bonus, including an extra $1 million for winning the Main Event. Second place winners will get a $400,000 bonus and third place earns a $300,000 bonus. Finish in fourth-fifth or sixth-ninth and get $200,000 or $100,000 respectively. Cash bonuses of up to $50,000 also are available if a sponsored player makes it to the WSOP “TV table.”
PokerStars sends more players to the Main Event than any other site. Since 2002, over 3,600 qualifiers have won a seat courtesy of PokerStars. To enter, all players need to do is register by going to the PokerStars.net game lobby and locating the tournament named “WSOP $1M Giveaway” under the Tourney tab.
